We are delighted to announce that Sven Jansson, Duke of Upper Ausfahrt has been appointed official government ambassador to Sweden. We wish Sven the best of luck in the role, and hope that he will be able to use this as a springboard to prove himself worthy of a government position.
The online Affliate company, run by the Duke of Northport, have become official government partners. The website will also sponsor the Bir Tawil National football and slapsmack teams, and become the BTFA's official partners.
Swedish Bir Tawilian Sven Jansson has been created Duke of Upper Ausfahrt by His Majesty the King. The Duke could well have a role to play in the King's government shortly.

Law enforcement teams in Fullah Alfalfah have admitted that a Camel was wrongly killed for a crime not commited by him. Startling new evidence arose just moments after his execution, suggesting that the 7 year old dromedary had not in fact packed cocaine into its own hump, as had previously been. The King himself apologised on behalf of the police, and granted the Camel a Posthumous Royal Pardon, announcing that the naming of a new police station in Ausfahrt City will be dedicated to him. Meanwhile the search continues for those responsible for packaging the cocaine into said camels hump.
A camel previously convicted of drugs trafficking today had his sentence carried out by Bir Tawilian law enforcement chiefs, reports the department of justice. The Camel, 7, was convicted of drugs trafficking yesterday, and the sentence was carried out swiftly due to the perceived severity of his crime by local law enforcement teams in Fullah Alfalfah. The Camel had elected not to appeal his conviction, and so it was deemed suitable to go ahead immediately. The execution was carried out by hanging at noon.
A Bir Tawil side could play its first competitive football match in the next two years, said head of FA King Adam I in a press conference this morning. The side would mostly be made up of foreign born players, however it is estimated that enough willing players could be found by this time to put together a team. The FA also revealed that they intend to seek membership of the N-F Board, and aim to take part in the VIVA world cup. They did however, concede that they had so far been unable to contact the association to request a membership.
Worrying news emerged from Government ICT services HQ tonight. It would appear that a user "svenjan" has attempted to use government-owned email addresses to set up the website www.kingdomofbirtawil.org using the web hosting service hostgator.com. The government has immediately sought to rectify this issue with said provider, and will take a harsh stance on any such attempts where possible. We would urge Bir Tawilians to ignore any sites claiming sovereignty of officialism that are run by "svenjan" or a user with a similar display name. It has come to our attention that this user is now operating through the email address "[email protected]". Whilst this is not a government owned email address as was the previous address used, we would urge citizens to be aware that this email address gives the impression of legitimacy, and that vigilance is needed to avoid such internet fiends. We would remind citizens that our only official contact details are those found on this site, and through our twitter account @Eastbirtawil and the king's account @bir A Bir Tawillian dromedary camel has received the death penalty after refusing to plead to charges of drugs smuggling into the country. The Camel, 7, was found guilty of smuggling cocaine into East Bir Tawil through West Bir Tawil, hiding the banned substances in its hump. The substances were discovered during a random camel raid by the Bir Tawillian police in East Fullah Alfalfah. The criminal will now wait on death row until his execution by hanging, joining infamous Bir Tawillian criminals such as the arms dealing pigeon, and the Onyx convicted of high treason. The Camel was unavailable for comment. The Duke has served with distinction in the Royal Bir Tawilian Navy for some time now, and the decision has been made to reward his efforts with this title.
